NATIONAL YARN DAY - OCTOBER 10

Time to pick up those needles and hooks and enjoy that wonderful feeling of yarn.

What am I doing?  I'm crocheting and knitting hats and scarves for the BACKPACK PROJECT.  My daughter is the President and each year she heads up a drive to give away BACK PACKS full of school supplies.  They also receive their choice of caps/hats and scarves and other donations the many volunteers knit and crochet for this fabulous organization.  August's 'give away' was 238 complete back packs and all of the knit/crochet items were totally given new homes.

Another drive will start in Jan. 2015.  Won't you help NOW SO WE MEET HER GOAL?

If you'd like to get that yarn out of the closet now (any colors) and start knitting and crocheting, we have a lot of simple patterns for you whether a knitter or crocheter and if you'd simply like to donate yarn, hey that's just as super!  Just email me.

And if you'd like to look thru a wonderful website - my favorite - check out THE CROCHET CROWD!
