LADY BUGS AND DAISIES

Sponsor: RSD (Rick St. Dennis) and Fred She Said
Theme: Anything Goes

(Look out for all those Ladybugs!)
I happily chose to use FRED SHE SAID images called DAISIES AND LADYBUGS!  I merged a lot of different daises and ladybugs into this scene, including the greeting.  I've learned not to move things around too much, else at the end you'll have something in front that was supposed to go to the back as in my stems.  Oh well, it's still pretty; I hope you think so too.  And I furthermore invite you to visit FRED SHE SAID's store as well as OUTLAWZ GREETINGS CHALLENGE!

WRAP UP JULY AT SQUIGGLEFLY

SQUIGGLEFLY BLOGSPOT CHALLENGE
A special thank you to Sandra C.  Dearest gf, thank you for letting us know that our image does not have a huge allergic nose problem, but the petal of flower looked so much like where her nose would be, I couldn't help myself!  I am laughing at myself now, asking for your forgiveness.  :) Hugs!
FRONT AND INSIDE OF CARD FOR

I dearly love all of Sandra Caldwell's images!  There is a certain 'country feel' for 'Americana' in every image,   WATCH IT GROW is one of those.......echoing the feeling and anticipation of a young child finding that beautiful flower and experiencing its fragrance.  I remember well the days of my youth of my mother helping us plant and nurture her favorite flowers and then also the huge garden that still swamps my imagination on 'how' we managed to keep the weeds down.  I garden yet at 67 yo and our garden size does increase with each year, but the joy "and hardwork" of the harvest of each vegie still remains.

I love the sentiment from the FRED THINKING stampset and thought it would be so cool to add to my card.  Come on over to Squigglefly and check out Tam Hess' cute stamps!!!!

Come on over to SQUIGGLEFLY CHALLENGE BLOG and enter yourself a card or art project in our easy challenge.  Just think about using one of SQUIGGLEFLY's images (free or purchased) and come over and grab that image - it puts you in the running for the prize!!!

HOLLY JINGLES GOES CAMPING

So what really is SUMMER???  :)   Sponsor: Beansie Doodle
Theme:  Summer Fun
 BEANSIE DOODLE - HOLLY JINGLEBELLS

It's mid July and camping fever hits about every Wisconsin and Minnesota resident around.  Beansie Doodle has the cutest little gal over there called Holly Jingles.  Truth be known, she's all dressed for Christmas, but why not have some camping fun in a different outfit.  Just better not go swimming in it!

Of course, then there is Santa - Here's what GOOGLE said!!!  “Santa should wear flip flops.” Poor crazy uncle, sweating inside his heavy red Christmas suit. It’s high summer in South America, and very hot. Many cities will host festivities on the streets, and people like to enjoy the fireworks, sing villancicos, and host neighborhood parties after midnight. December 25 and Jan 1 are often spent at the houses of those with swimming pools."
Drop by OUTLAWZ GREETINGS CHALLENGES FOR 2 WEEKS and let us see Summer Fun in a project you've created.  All prizes are awarded monthly!

ROARRRRR!

SQUIGGLEFLY BLOGSPOT HAS A NEW CHALLENGE
RRR SFC2914-Make a round card
Our sweet and lovable Fred has his own digis and I love each and every one!  Check them out - click the link above.  I crocheted in black around the edge of this circle die and then added preruffled lace to bring out the black crocheting.  Altho I'm not thoroughly happy with the way the whole project turned out it's a great note card tho!  Inside says:  "Then I sent this card."  Quite a cute idea for a card.
We have three new artists making their debut this month!  They are Tam Hess, Norma Burnell, and Angela Charles.  Each of them have their own unique style.

We are also welcoming a new design team member Jen Leeflang.  Jen's blog is http://jencraftsa.blogspot.com.  It would be great if you could visit her and say "hi".

CELEBRATE WITH WINE!

OUTLAWZ MONDAY GREETING CARD CHALLENGE
July 7th - Our sponsor is RICK ST DENNIS and our theme is Strawberries/ any berrie  - EVEN National strawberry sundae day.  We are also hosted by Linda O.!  And I chose:  Baby Bacchus.

 Interior of my card
The grapes are individually cut out of a 2nd sheet and pop dotted for height.  Do you know who BACCHUS was according to mythology?  I did a search on him, and I found he actually was one of Hercules' many brothers!  Bacchus is the Roman name for Dionysus, the god of wine and intoxication, of ritual madness and ecstasy in Greek Mythology.  He actually was worshipped in the 1500s.  What a great celebration for National Berry Day!

Whatever your favorite berry is, come on over to OUTLAWZ MONDAYS GREETING CHALLENGES and enter an image or project in our one week challenge!  All of the DTs have some great inspiration for you.  Just click the link and don't forget to add the greeting - after all it is a GREETING CARD CHALLENGE!!  :) Happy Berry Day!

ARE WE THERE YET?

Is it Christmas yet???

It's July 1st and we're making Christmas Cards in July!!  By "we" I mean the gals at YOUR SCRAPBOOK PLACE BLOGSPOT.  Click on the link to see a myriad of great Christmas card art to inspire you to join use for prizes!!!

The request of our group admin is to just use a mix of papers, word art, and other goodies.  Our DT are using images from DECOSSE'S DYNAMITE DOODLES.  Go check  Lisa out and get on her email list!  She is total fun!

Here's my card with the info about it.  I actually created 2 cards - one a bit smaller because I printed a bit small.  Never an item goes to waste in my house.

The DECK THE  HALLS and the HOLLY BERRY paper came from Lisa's store at DECOSSE'S DYNAMITE.  I layered them together using my PHOTO PLUS and then drew from my SQUIGGLEFLY STORE Christmas images and printed all.  The sentiment was separately printed and mounted for a bit of depth in the card.
 Just a second smaller card..
Insides of both cards.

Now come on over to YOUR SCRAPBOOK PLACE and join me in this challenge!
