Hey Winter - Just Go Away!
Come join me at  Squigglefly today and stretch your wings using a simple fun recipe from Holley's Hobbyists!  SFC0814 I give thee a recipe for spring, use a piece a printed paper, some twine/twill, and at least one brad or button  (My heart in the upper left corner is actually a brad.)
Cheryl Grant Alger is the image artist

Click on my link and choose a freebie or purchase a wonderful new digi for your collection.  Join us in the competition judged by a random no. generator.  You simply must use a Squigglefly image.

Can we at least hope for spring - it's been a long cold winter thus far.  Here's Sapphie doing what she does best - soaking up the sunshine with her bunny kicker!  A bunny kicker is a long tube of fabric or yarn stuffed with cat nip and batting.  Sapphie came to use last fall.  One year ago on Feb. 22, her owner/master/mother hen passed on to be an angel with the Lord.  Sapphie didn't do well in her first foster home so I asked to have her and she has just blossomed!  Heavier now and a beautiful coat of fur, she's just a fun cat to cuddle with 24/7.  I still haven't gotten used to getting up  at 5:30 for breakfast tho - Doris taught her this undoubtedly!  Luv ya Doris - miss you greatly!

 See you in March!

We're having a ton of fun over at Seems a Little Sketchy.  Come on over and join us.  Firstly, let me say we are being sponsored by Lacy Sunshine

There are 3 images up for grabs to the lucky winner.  Here's the sketch, follow it as best you can with any image you have or run on over to Lacy Sunshine and get a cutie for Valentine's Day like I did.

I chose to use Winter Lisbeth from the 1920's.  Isn't she just the best to work with?  I had some background paper left over from another Valentine's project so I fitted it to work with the sketch of 59.
The paper ribbon on the left was mounted on white cardstock to make it pop.  I didn't like the transparency of it for this card.  My friend Virginia had sent me some hearts in a rak envelope and it was fun using a few of them.  Lisbeth is colored with copics and sparkly pens as well.  The butterflies came in a Queen of the Month package awhile back, I do love 3d butterflies!  We have several birthdays in February, so no problem placing this card in the mail or 3 of the others I also made similar.

Come on over and show us your work.  It's easy peasy and you can win 3 digis!!!

Owl-Ways In My Heart!

Don't you just love owls and images of owls........even the real thing.  We have a huge owl house in our woods that currently the squirrels are also inhabiting.  Not sure how that works.

Anyhow at Squigglefly's Blogspot Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals have presented wonderful answers to the challenge "Use both a digi image and a digi sentiment".  This card is mine and the image was drawn by Fawn Palmer.  The sentiment (3 sentiments) are also included with this image at the Squigglefly shop.   I adore Fawn's sense of humor in her sentiments.
Everything is colored in copics - even the background with a very light blue.  the bg tree is from Tim Holtz' embossing plates.  I also used a strip of homemade paper with leaves a friend of mine from California sent me - thank you Virginia!  I'll enjoy using more of it in the future.  The button is a paper button and twine tied bow.  The whole card is 5.5 square and passes for a $.49 stamp!
Because I used black cardstock I placed some die cuts inside for a message.
And as usual, I always made at least 2 cards and this one is basically the same except for the pink paper button.
Today  has been very hectic for me - I am still learning to get around with one leg, crutches and/or a knee walker.  The boot I wear is super heavy.  My hubbie put a big office chair (we didn't have a little one) in my craft room so I now transfer at the door from the crutches to the chair and can glide all over the room and I AM BACK TO CREATING!  I TOTALLY LOVE IT!

Hoping you are having a lovely day, don't forget to join me at Squigglefly's challenge this week.  You can always find a free image at Squigglefly and join in for the possibility of free images!  WOO HOO!

RRR-SFC0514-Use Red and Pink
Ahhhhhh Feb. 3 is here - only 11 days left til Valentine's Day.  And it's time for me to wind up and get them in the mail within the next week.  Yes, you are never too old to drop a few valentines on a friend's doorstep via USPS!

SQUIGGLEFLY BLOGSPOT is challenging us to use Red and Pink.  And since there are so many wonderful Valentine oriented card and project images debuting at SQUIGGLEFLY I  had to use Cheryl Alger's FIRST LOVE!   This card is to a sweet little boy!  So I thought I'd pop it a little bit by using Lynne Stansbery's LOVE IS IN THE AIR in the background.
First Love - Cheryl Grant Alger and Love Is In The Air - Lynne Stansbery
Come on over to Squigglefly and pick out a darling Valentine image and sentiment for 2014.  Enter our contest at the Blog and best of luck!!!
