Greetings friends!
Our wonderful sponsor for this week, the 9th of June is the AWESOME: Delicious Doodles
With a great theme: MONOCHROMATIC
This challenge is being hosted by Alex at OUTLAWZ GREETINGS CHALLENGE!  Come on over and check us out!

Isn't this the most touching image you've ever seen.  One wonders what is going thru the lady's mind - she is so sad or madly in love.  She's very ghostly at the river's edge too - did something very romantic and very sad happen here?

I chose the colors of blue/green (turquoise) to complete the whole card.  All of the colors in the actual image are of the COPIC BG family.  Stamped sentiments are with the Ocean color of the CTMH ink pads!  Card is 5.75x5.75.  The decorative piece behind the image was created with my cuttlebug embossed folders and turquoise paint!  I turned one section the opposite way to catch one's eye.

I hope to see you today or this week at the OUTLAWZ GREETINGS CHALLENGE - just click the link!

  1. WOW!!!! Great job, fantastic job!
    Hugs, Pat

  2. The story of La Llorona is that the "weeping woman" travels along rivers and canals crying for her missing children and then waits for a child to come along and takes the child. I'm sure there are so many versions of this story - but this is the one I know.

  3. gorgeous card-love that image!

  4. Wow - this is hauntingly beautiful! I love it! I may have to get this one! I like your versions of the story better - it should be romantic where she misses her lover and longs for him. So much better than a lady who loses her children and takes ones that are alive. I am sure that many a parent uses that story to keep their children away from the edge of rivers though. Love your card! Hugz!

  5. Awesome card Linda, love the way you colored it!

  6. Fabulous job Linda, great coloring and love the stories!
Just wanted to thank you for the Birthday wishes.....I have been out of town.
