 Front of Card
Interior of Swinging Z Fold Card
Razzle Berry is the color of this card and can be found here:
Mats are in BLACK LICORICE and RED MANILA FILE, all available at the PAPER CUT and all the paper is Acid Free and a wonderful weight for cards.

Honestly, it took a while for me to bring this card and its elements together.  I wanted to use the Swinging Z Fold and I already had a scored card from THE PAPER CUT but I did not have the cupcake die that went with the actual swinging area.  So I compromised after printing my typewriter out too large and decided to encapsulate the cupcake die inside the front and back of the typewriter.  If you can read the keys close, it reads:  "My Dear Friend".  There is a handmade flower also on it (made by a lovely friend of mine) and I removed the brad feet and used square glue dots to affix the XOXO on the 2nd page.  I burned my finger during the hot glue down of the word "FRIEND" on my flower.  OUCH!
Here's the actual blank card with the cupcake die area.  Isn't it the cutest!  Well I have the die now so will be making more for sure!

I dearly hope you can take a bit of time and come join us at the Squigglefly Blogspot in Rhonda's latest challenge:  JUST MAKE A THANKFUL FOR YOU CARD.

Meanwhile over at Squigglefly's store, we are welcoming TWO new artists in October - a husband and wife team - Carmen and Graham Gamble. Please come and meet them and their lovely digi images!

Holley's Hobbyists have given us a very fun challenge - so easy to go any way with.  "One of two choices, make a card that uses leaves or trees and leaves, autumn or fall theme in the image or embellishments OR create a card that shows travel as in LEAVING home and going on a trip like camping, travel, vacation."
I chose Judith Hart's THANKFUL digi image from Squigglefly and chose to do an INNER STAIR STEP CARD using THE PAPER CUT's prescored cardstock.  My leaves are from DECORATIVE ACCENTS (Thailand) daughter actually gave me them as they were leftovers unused at a wedding she was in charge of decorating.

My backside of the card.  Nothing special but I wanted to show you I added more leaves to peer up and out of the final display.

Just have to share with you.  This card is being published this month in the COMPLETE CARD MAKING magazine.  I completed this card at the request of my Design Team and Squigglefly.Com Stampsite Owner, H. Young.  It was then sent to the U.K. to Becky Higgins for her approval and placement in the magazine.  6 of us (other DT members) were lucky enough to be chosen!

While I'm not a super proud person, it just feels kinda satisfying to know my work was good enough.  Know what I mean.  Thanks for looking, and be sure to click on the link to go to their website.  The magazine is also distributed in the U.S.

I have a total fun card for you to consider making.  If you are like me, it's always been panic time when I got around to doing the cutting and scoring of the "fun" cards.  But now I've got it super easy by using THE PAPER CUT cards.  Have you found THE PAPER CUT yet?  I am so enjoying creating cards with their various pre-scored cards!  Here's my latest - THE FUNKY FOLD ACCORDION CARD!  Cute name huh?

Overall view of the Funky Fold Accordion Card opened
Looking on from the right side
Funky Fold Accordion Card folds to an A2 size to easily fit in envies.

For my card I combined 2 different digi stampsets from FRED SHE SAID - the DOODLED FLORAL stampset as well as the WISTFUL EMMA BRIDE background.  I pulled the bees, the butterflies, and the flowers from the Doodled Floral Set and since they were transparent images, they moved and resized very easily.  The bumbled bee was simply made larger for the separate placement with the sentiments.  The paper is from Close To My heart and sentiments are all from my stash.

I do hope you will visit THE PAPER CUT and check out the prescored card mats and stop in at their blog for some gorgeous sample cards and some card tuts!!!  Then come on over to FRED SHE SAID and try out one of the newest stampsets of DOODLED FLORALS or GROWING TOGETHER which has the look of a water color on canvas.

Thanks for visiting.

Well a play with the word "orange" - thought I'd get your attention...IT'S A REVERSE EXPLOSION CARD!!!  Today Squigglefly's challenge is a super easy and very appropriate for this time of year challenge. SFC4013 From Holley's Hobbyists is appropriate.  With Fall and Halloween, orange is a very popular color about now. Make an orange colored card any theme you want as long as orange is there.  You may enter any card or project.

I colored my image with copics and multiple layering along with some stickles of course!

NOW HERE'S THE TRUTH:  I have not tried a reverse explosion card in many years - mainly because of all the fussing and marking and folding.  But now my card making is taking a new leap upwards!  I am using a unique pre-scored and Reverse Explosion cut card blank from The Paper Cut!

I used Basic dark orange, Buff manila file cs, and Green manila file cs for the layering and the background of the actual explosion card is a wonderful color called ORANGE FIZZ...all from The Paper Cut!  And I am very pleased with the final product!

This was unique for me in that there was a fold and embellish diagram included in the package of card blanks.  It tells where the Mountain/Valley folds are and how to fold, as well as the measurement in each section helped my cut my designer paper.  I then folded 6 pieces of orange ribbon to accent the image, and popdotted the image up and off everything.

We are welcoming TWO new artists in October to our Squigglefly Artist Gallery - a husband and wife team - Carmen and Graham Gamble.  Come on over and check out their images as well and then participate in our challenge!

Oh my goodness, I saw the cutest digi set up for grabs a couple days ago and I just had to take time to do a couple cards to enter into the challenge!  I tell you I don't know where time goes anymore - I give work more room and it takes over me!  Not fair.

Anyhow the new challenge is at:  DOODLE PANTRY BLOG and if you click on that link it will take you directly to the challenge.  They've changed the rules a bit - now you can use ANY company digi and be entered in the big drawing.  However there are a lot of freebies they have on site too and if you use one of their stamps, you also receive the ANGEL BIRDIE STAMP SET - I so want it - especially the angel holding the kitty!

Made both cards within 1 hr!!!

Oh I forgot to tell you the reason I want that Angel Birdie stamp set - as you may or may not know, my beloved TinkerBelle passed quite unexpectedly last Friday at the UW Animal Hospital.  It was not expected but the blood work showed us immediately what was happening and we knew we would lose our precious sweetheart of 10 years!  Anyhow, I'm making up special scrapbook pages for her life with us and the love she shared, and that set has the most perfect images and sentiments!

WOO HOO - Come on over to DOODLE PANTRY BLOG!!
