What's Coming to Squigglefly Again?!!!

Don't you just love the little bird crying out "hear ye! hear ye!"
He's announcing someone sweet's birthday for me tonite!

HERE YE HERE YE 2nd image of set - Mike Eustis image artist

This is a simple A2 card in landscape fold.  Did you notice those beautiful gold corners on the outside of the card?  My friend Charlene surprised me to pieces one day by sending me 2 sets of gold and 2 sets of silver!  Oh my, the tiny little dainty things are so beautiful - you want to just count your coins!

I traced around the sentiment with a Sakura gold pen.
Image artist - Mike Eustis

Hey stud muffin!  Sounds like my hubbie's going to get this card as a sweet surprise!  I kept the pink ribbon on the side in tune with Rhonda's Rowdy's contest challenge this week - either a simple pink bow or ribbon on your card will qualify you - BUT YOU MUST USE A SQUIGGLEFLY IMAGE!
Can you believe these are all being released on Saturday!  Oh I just love both sets so dearly; they were so much fun and so easy to work up!

Wisconsin is in the midst of the heat wave just like everyone else.  We hit 98.8 today and it's supposed to get worse.  We hope everyone stays safe and as cool as possible during this treacherous weather.  And our hearts and prayers are going out to everyone affected by the wildfires out west.

YES, YOU READ IT RIGHT!  Shelly (my daughter) won herself $1500 in Lia Sophia merchandise at their convention this week!  And as she says, she seldom wins anything, so to win one of the 10 TOP prizes and it be the highest amount paid out, was surreal!  Doesn't she look happy!  She will be even happier as she looks thru the newest catty!

 That's my daughter!!!
The grand stage!
Awesome!  Special to all the consultants/trainees/everyone!
New friends and old friends - lovin' the plan!
Fireworks over Lake Michigan followed the grand few days at the Lakefront!

Take a look at the new catty and get to know Shelly - she has some awesome deals for everyone!

SFC2512 Squigglefly use pink buttons/and or ribbons

Flower Pot Kitty is a great image to use for so many occasions.  With a request by Squigglefly DT leader Rhonda - a requirement of pink buttons and/or pink bow/ribbon - that made it seem really easy for me to accomplish this card.  I hope you like it!  I used some designer papers I had saved up after my recent organization, colored Kitty with my copics, did some fussy cutting after embossing and then attached flowers, buttons and ribbons and bows!

I hope you like Ms. Kitty - grab an image over at Squigglefly and come play for the possibility of winning free images!  Also join the Anything Goes challenge at LOVE TO CREATE!

IT'S FOOD - Outlawz Challenge!

Image artist - Lynne Stansbery
You may purchase the 2 piece set at Sqjuigglefly Shop.

This card has been totally colored with copic markers - with just a hint of a Sakura glitter pen on the seeds.  I then went thru my summer barbecue stash and came up with some wowzer die cuts and this beautiful patriotic ribbon which I'll be using again this week on other projects!

Wow, don't you love summer and all the wonderful produce and fruits!  Seems I'm always buying watermelons every trip to the shopping market!  My youngest daughter has her entire kitchen embellished with watermelon things.  So cool.

Well here's to a wonderful summer for you!  Tell you what, come on over to Outlawz Challenge and join me with a foodie card!  But first remember to get your images at Squigglefly.  :)

Flying Thru The Air With The Greatest of Ease!

GET READY FOR A BLOG HOP AT SCRAPBOOK PLACE - Prizes and fun just for hopping!

Sky Ace reminds me of the Red Baron...the scarf flying away in the breeze, Ace's tongue sticking out as he's concentrating on the throttle, speed, direction and just staying aloft!  What fun it must be to fly around in the heavens like a bird.  My husband and 3 of his brothers are pilots, altho my husband and his twin fly closer to the ground these days.  But I've heard and seen photos of some nightmarish landings! They built many of their own airplanes - and it was still fun for them!  I thought perhaps I would take lessons as we have an airport nearby that gives lessons, but lately I've decided it's not going to be on my bucket list!

The image set is at Squigglefly right now - as well as many other Mike Eustis images.

This card (6x6) is being entered in the latest Twisted Thursday Outlawz challenge!  The theme is transportation - so grab yourself a Squigglefly image and create a card and put it up at the Outlawz web site:  OUTLAWZ TWISTED THURSDAY!

And don't forget the Squigglefly Blogspot Challenge - click there and enter your card for a possible image gift!

PEEK A BOO - Check out what is coming to Squigglefly!

Well, I just lost my whole post! How did that happen - I have no idea!

So here goes again! I just couldn't wait to show you what is coming to Squigglefly next! Isn't it just awesome all the new images that have shown up in the past month and a half! My brain is welling over with more and more card ideas.
This is an A2 card all ready for that very wonderful thank you I need to send a friend for all her support. Isn't it wonderful to have a few extra cards in a box that are specifically made by you and show all your love with in. All colors are by copics and if you have followed me for awhile yo know of my love for Lynne's images! She just is an awesome artist! This image launches on Saturday June 23. Click the link to get your images (2 to the set).

Robo Boots is quite comical, isn't he! Can you see that our favorite penguin is inside there? His feet don't extend very far but you can see them and his tiny little beak sticking out near the front of the helmet! He's giving everyone the encouragement they need to just "Stop making excuses and go for it!"

Mike Eustis' images are quite fun to work with. I've always needed more cards with images that lend a hand towards the masculine side of my family, now I have Mike's images to fill that need. And at such a reasonable price, one can't wish for anything better!

Now hop on over to our SQUIGGLEFLY CHALLENGE BLOG and enter a card or project in our contest. You could be a winner of one of MIKE'S OR LYNNE'S image sets! This week is easy - ..."add some flair to your border with a punch, torn edge, deco scissors or ??? surprise me! This flair can be to the edges around your image, the opening edge of your card or ALL the edges, you choose."

And as the robot says: stop making excuses! :)

SFC2412 - BORDER PATROL at Squigglefly

In conjunction with Squigglefly's team Holley'S Hobbyists

This was an easy challenge from Holley and her cohorts........"add some flair to your border with a punch, torn edge, deco scissors or ??? surprise me! This flair can be to the edges around your image, the opening edge of your card or ALL the edges, you choose."

I chose to use one of my new decorative die cuts altho it's very difficult to get all the little pieces out........even using some of the tried and true hints, such as waxed paper between the die and the image, additional layers in the cuttlebug, etc.  But eventually I got it the way I wanted it.

The card is 5x7 - and I slit a decorative piece of dp to create some triangular sides and center and go from there.  The camper van is meant to look like the 'hippy bus/homes' of the 60s!  The image comes to you with a very usable side without applying all these icons and such.

I added a bit of choking muffler smoke because we all know those vans were not very eco-friendly!  I just used a finger sponge and a bit of dark chocolate ink pad.

I'm sending this to a friend who is moving - she and I have always said we will never move, but alas those words do have to be changed at some time in our life.  I wish her the best -  it's a wise move.

I hope you like this card - lmk of any changes you would've made.  I'd love to hear.

It's June and the roses are blooming!

Just a few photos of roses around the yard.  It's difficult to get good shots when i wear my solar shields, but I think you'll get the idea that summer finally hit the southwestern corner of Wisconsin!  And we are loving it!

NIKKO got his bi monthly grooming on Wednesday - and he's as spry as a pup again!

Would you like a Sneak Peek - HERE IT IS!!!

HUG by Image Artist Kim Fleming
A 6x6 card with sweet sentiments.

Oh I have to give you a sneak peak of some of the beautiful images being released this Saturday at the Squigglefly Online Store!  The above 2 images were so much fun to color with copics and put together on a couple cards .  I'm making up All Occasion Card Boxes for Christmas gifts this year!  Yepper, Christmas in  June!  Right now my eyes are hampered so I have to be very slow and tedious and sometimes take as much as 2 days to finish one image.  But these images went fast and are just really special to me!  I hope you like them too!

Right at this moment we have a wonderful challenge going on at our Squigglefly Blog and I would dearly love for you to come over and check us out.  Grab a quick image from the shop - either free or very reasonable - and join in the fun.  You might win the free stampset!  Enjoy your week!

Carolyn Made Me Do It!

This past week one of my best friends joined her first Design Team. I am so happy for her; altho she works 40 hours plus a week, she will make a wonderful DT member. The name of the group is SEEMS A LITTLE SKETCHY and you can get there by clicking on that name. Anyhow she 'coerced' me into entering the blog contest! Not really! She's a doll but I'm willingly entering the following card in the SALS contest which lasts 2 weeks.
This beautiful orchid (my favorite flower) is a digi I found at my favorite digi store online - Squigglefly.  The link for the ORCHIDS can be obtained by clicking on that word.

We  needed to follow a sketch as close as possible at SALS which looks like this:
Below is the interior of my card without a greeting sentiment yet - I did put a quote down the right folded area.  I always love to fold the interior of my cards to keep inside anything special I might send - even a letter.
Come join us over at SEEMS A LITTLE SKETCH but first grab yourself a digi from my favorite store - SQUIGGLEFLY.COM!

SFC2312 - RHONDA SAYS SHAPE UP (your card)!

This is a long post as I have 3 lovely cards to show you. I actually learned how to put an image on a baseball. Check it out!   I stared with a clip art from the net of a baseball, and imported BUDDIES (by Lynne Stansbery) onto my clipart resizing as I went.  I then colored with my copics and developed a card with my nesties to accompany the softball/baseball image.

Note the tiny buttons - those are made from clamshells found on the Mississippi River area.  We have people who dive for them and sell them to entrepeneurs.  I thought they added the perfect touch to this card.

Now check out the inside of the card (below) and you will see a great sentiment from Chesney Young - both are available at Squigglefly's Shop!

I can hear you now - you're saying oh how cute - a rubber duckie!  Why is it everytime we see a yellow duck we assume it's a rubber duckie!  Must be leftovers from childhood!

Anyhow, our challenge this week at Squigglefly is to create a card of a different shape!  Wallah - I had the perfect card in mind.  I needed a couple baby cards.  I had 2 new digis from Squigglefly's One a  Day in May!  Wow, did you sign up for it - well if not, please do next year!  All I can sayt is wow!

The Quack Me was one of the images, and then there was a whole set of images for baby cards called Sweet Baby Text by Jess Holland, so i chose to use them as well.

This card actually revolves its 4 pages out to you on small brads.  I used my cuttlebug and spellbinder dies to do the various die cuts and did some xyron mounting.

This is the front and last pages with the center pages rolled together.  I chose the star circle spellbinder because of the baby being very important to these 2 households.

This is the 2nd card I made using the same methods.  A loop of ribbon on top will allow it to be hung from a special area announcing baby's arrival.  This card is easily slid inside an A2 type envelope.

Come on over and try this challenge - any shape card - use an image from the Squigglefly store - and we hope you win a free dimi set!

Father's day is coming soon - how about next weekend?  Who wouldn't love to receive this Dad's Day card?

I had to work this card in today as I was on a roll.  I recently had eye surgery and pushed myself a bit further today to get some cards done.  But alas, I am definitely done now!

It's a 6x6 card; the coloring is by copics and the sentiment is by Chesney Young.

Take a stroll by tomorrow - check out all the new images.  Grab yourself one and get into the challenge for this week - you could win yourself a beautiful set of stamps!  Remember, you can also use freebies that we supply on the website.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Whatcha gonna do when you are marvelously hungry from all that paddling down the river?!  Just what you would expect - EAT!  And this big burger or dog is just hitting the spot.  I love cruising the water on a hovercraft - but not this little dinghy!

I enjoyed coloring the card with my copics, found some self adhesive food thoughts and picked one for this occasion, and then i even stole a bony fish from my cat/dog embellishment bin!  (Thank you Melissa!)

Below is the interior of the card - both sentiments come with  this image!
This lovely image by Lynne Stansbery debuts tomorrow, Saturday, June 9!  Stop by the store and check out all the new images hitting the waves!

Who Had Your Pillow Last Nite?

When you were a child, were you afraid of the pillow monster?  Well this pillow monster is a cute little guy being released tomorrow at  Squigglefly's shop.  Pillow Monster was drawn by artist Denise Clemmensen.  In fact, there are a lot of images being released tomorrow at Squigglefly, it's unreal!  Please take a moment to stop by and browse-I guarantee you'll be happy you did!

I created this card to be a shaped card using my nestie dies and layering various coordinating prints from Close to my Heart.  The striped print behind the Monster looked so much like pillow ticking I couldn't resist!  And the stars are representative of night time and a starry sky!  I added some tiny wiggle eyes to Pillow Monster and a few of my handmade crocheted flowers and a heart (with a tiny tyed bow).

The challenge this week is by Team Holley's Hobbyists to "MAKE ME LAUGH."  ALL YOU NEED DO IS ENTER A CARD WITH A  SQUIGGLEFLY IMAGE!

Leave me a bit of love about your own PERSONAL PILLOW MONSTERS! And have a beautiful nite's sleep!

SFC2212 Make me laugh

Are you a canine lover - I am.  Wish we could have another.  We FOUND such a wonderful friend in our little NIKKO.  It's unbelievable we found him.  Cesar Milan says you never get the dog you want, you get the dog YOU NEED!  We needed Nikko - and never knew it.  He filled a void we had for years.  He's our little playmate that keeps us oldsters very very active!

If you will click on the link of Grinning Retriever at Squigglefly's Shop you will see several more canine images - you are bound to fall in one if not all of them.  I dearly love the butterfly on the puppy's tail!

Holley's challenge this week is to MAKE HER LAUGH!  And we have 2 Holly/Holley's in our group..and yes Holly at is GREAT in coming up with funny quips!

Per Holley B.:  Make me laugh.....whether the image is funny or not, you can always give me a saying that has some humor to it (need something funny--ask Holly--she's the best!) p.s. Holly did not pay me for this endorsement!

Have a deep belly laugh - liven up your day!  You'll be surprised!

STILL GOING CAS with a Wheelie! SFC#21-2112

Saturday there will be three new artists making their debut at Squigglefly.  Everyone at Squigglefly shouts a big welcome to all 3 artists - Denise Clemenson, Mike Eustis, and Kim Fleming.  I chose to make a cute A2 size birthday card  with a little play on words using Kim Fleming's Unicycle Birdie.

Unicycle Birdie is extremely easy to color and create with.  I really wanted to do a lot more with the background but that would've involved in theme of this challenge, you get what you see!

Thought I'd put a piece of ribbon around his neck as he went flying off into the crowd!  Don't unicycles always draw crowds?  I remember going to the circus just to watch that guy ride a one wheel bike - how did he do it?!  I'm luck to stay on my 2 wheel bike!

I used copics and white cs (Walmart), some ric rac and buttons from my stash.  Also triple matted the image for a bit of umph!  I hope you like it and I  hope to see one of your images you've gotten from Sqjuigglefly!  Leave me a comment that you are going to participate in our challenge this week....just keep it clean and simple!  (CAS)
