RED AND GREEN - is there a song about that?  Must be because I sure love all shades of those colors! So how much more fun to enter a challenge at Squigglefly with those colors!  This challenge is #SFC4912 RRR!

What can be more traditional than the various hues of red and green at this time of the year!  Rhonda has presented a challenge to RHONDA'S ROWDY RASCALS which says:  "let's use the traditional Christmas colors-red and green for this week's challenge."  This means YOU - get your red and green on, get those creative Christmas juices flowing, and follow along!

There is something special to me about a lamp post in the winter time.  Here in our area of Wisconsin in the small towns all the lampposts are decorated with greens and reds - some towns even have a lamp post that very much looks like the above - only it's electric.

Wouldn't you love to receive Ted's Christmas Surprise of flowers?  Look at his eyes!  They are so sweet and loving, one cannot help enjoying coloring him!  BTW I did alter his eyes a bit to get that special expression.  :)

Come join us at Squigglefly Challenge and grab yourself a freebie and perhaps start your collection of digital images.  If you need help using them, we have wonderful tutorials on the Squigglefly website.  Just click on links above.

Meantime, Christmas is only 2 weeks away!!!

  1. This is adorable. Great coloring!

  2. Linda,
What a beautiful lamp post Christmas card. It reminds me of when I was a child and there were actually street lights similar to this ione. Lovely card. And, Ted's Christmas is an adorable card - really big smiles.

  3. Two beautiful cards Linda! I love the simple beauty of your first card. The little red poinsettia flowers and the ribbon really dress it up, but don't overwhelm it.
Your second card is just adorable and you did great with your artistic license giving him the expressful eyes!

  4. Both cards are beautiful! Fabulous coloring!

  5. The lamppost is just so perfect and I love the addition of the flowers at the bottom.

Thank you for stopping by. Please leave a little love!
